CAMP:
CHILDREN MUST HAVE BE ENTERING GRADES 1-9 IN SEPTEMBER TO ATTEND CAMP.
We have streamlined our application process to simplify registration so you can now complete most forms as part of the online registration process. However, you will still need to submit a physician signed verification of your child's current immunization records and physical (physical must be within 12 months from the first day of camp), or a letter of exemption signed by the parent or guardian. You will also need to submit proof of residency (tax or utility bill with your physical address and child's school records with matching address) if you are registering your child as a resident of Rhinebeck. You must submit required paperwork the week before camp begins. You can drop the information off at the Town Pool in the large metal mailbox next to the cashier's gate, or email your documents to recreation@rhinebeckny.gov
**PHYSICAL MUST BE DATED WITHIN ONE YEAR OF START OF CAMP AND MUST INCLUDE ANY ALLERGIES, MEDICATIONS OR RESTRICTIONS, AND A STATEMENT THAT THE CHILD IS ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN CAMP ACTIVITIES**
INCLEMENT WEATHER AND CLOSURES: Persistent or heavy rainfall and/or thunderstorms may warrant camp closures to ensure the safety of the children. In the event camp closes early, camp staff will contact parents by the preferred method of contact indicated on the authorization form. We will also email camp families and post the information on our Facebook page. We will do our very best to give parents as much notice as possible and will provide a list of counselors who may be available to watch your child(ren) for the day.
HOURS: Camp hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00am - 4:00pm. Parents/guardians are expected to drop their children off no earlier than 9:00am and pick them back up promptly at 4:00pm. There will be a late fee applied after 4:00pm. If you intend to drop off your child late or pick up early, please advise the Camp Director at your earliest convenience. This information is helpful when planning daily camp activities.
NO REFUND POLICY: The Town of Rhinebeck does NOT issue refunds, so please be sure of your dates before signing your child up for any Town activity.

SWIM LESSONS:
**REGISTRATION OPEN TO RESIDENTS AND NON-RESIDENTS**
The Town of Rhinebeck Swim Lessons Program is taught by American Red Cross certified Lifeguards. The Swim Lessons Program is a tiered program designed to provide students with a positive learning experience and teach children to swim and be safe in and around the water. Swim levels follow the guidelines of standard American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim Lessons. Students will be evaluated on their first lesson to make sure they are in the appropriate level. Once all skills within a level are accomplished, children will be advanced. Maximum of 8 students per class; must be at least five years of age and comfortable working in the pool with coaches. Parents are not in the pool with the children at any level.
Please be advised, once registration is complete, there are no refunds.
Level 1 - Introduction to Water Skills. This helps the students feel comfortable in the water.
Level 2 - Fundamental Water Skills. This gives students success with fundamental skills.
Level 3 - Stroke Development. This builds on skills from Level 2 by providing guided practice.
Level 4 - Stroke Improvement. This develops confidence in the strokes learned and improves other aquatic skills.
